About Peridot Park Jewelry
Have you ever stood in your closet and wondered what to wear? You have an important meeting with a client today, and you want to look professional, pulled together, beautiful, and confident. You also have plans to go out this evening with your gal pals. You reach for your Chanel suit, a nice silk top, and start to think about what jewelry to wear. You reach for your favorite, the Lorelei Layering Necklace with large freshwater pearls and crystals from Peridot Park Jewelry. It’s the perfect choice; you’ll wear it long for your client meeting, then double it for the evening to amplify it's beauty, and ditch the suit jacket. You grab the gorgeous leather purse you bought in Italy, and you’re out the door.
Welcome to Peridot Park! My name is Katie, and I am the owner and creative at Peridot Park Jewelry. I believe in creating high quality jewelry with attention to detail and craftmanship. My jewelry can help you present your unique “You” to the world, and look confident and beautiful doing it.
In addition to this website, I also sell jewelry in person at artisan markets. I love selling at markets because I love to meet new people and help them find the perfect piece of jewelry for themselves or for a gift. I love shopping for new gemstones, and always check for local bead shops and jewelry stores when my husband and I travel. I have brought gemstones home from France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Alaska and more. I created the Lorelei Layering Necklace with flexibility in mind; who doesn’t want to get more than one look from their jewelry? At 36” long, it can be worn long and layered with other necklaces, or doubled to provide maximum impact. The Lorelei is available in a variety of gemstones.
I was born in Texas, and I live in the Austin, TX, area with my husband Rick, and our two dogs, Lillian and Walter. I’ve had a lifelong love of jewelry, just like my Mom did. She would take me to gem and mineral shows, antique markets, and jewelry stores, and I would dream of the day I could buy such amazing jewelry. One time we even went mining for garnets!
After retiring from a career in Tech, I took some jewelry-making classes, and fell in love. When I go to my studio to make jewelry, I tell my husband "I’m going to go play”; it seems wrong to call it work. Besides selling in person and on this website, my jewelry is also carried in four boutiques. I remember approaching my first retail shop to see if they wanted to carry my jewelry. I was very nervous (and afraid of rejection), but once I started showing them my jewelry and talking about how it was made and what made it special, the conversation flowed freely.
